- Heal your body and mind by accepting and embracing your flaws. Your outer beauty is a reflection of your inner mindset so learn to appreciate and be grateful for your natural beauty.
- Be young in spirit. It will influence your body and mind to age slowly.
- Smile often, and smile from your toes to the top of your head.
- Have little breaks to lessen stress everyday day. This is better than having a long holiday at the end of a stressful period that lasted several days, even weeks!
- Follow a healing diet.
- Use cosmetic products that are effective and contain no toxic substances. Check out the Skin Deep cosmetic safety database to check for product safety.
- Take time to massage your face and body daily using essential oils. The best time to have a massage is after a bath.
- Have enough quality sleep at night. Between 6 to 9 hours is recommended, but quality is more important than quantity. You will know if you're getting enough quality sleep if you wake up refreshed and full of energy.
- Live in harmony with your inner rhythms and the rhythms of nature. Eat when you feel hungry, sleep when you are feeling tired, exercise at the time of the day when you feel you have the most energy.
- Be in nature at least once a week. Take a half-hour nature walk in the country or in a park.
- Synchronise your beauty routines with the seasons. Deeply nourish your skin in winter, gently detoxify your body in spring, and protect your skin and use lighter skincare products to nourish your skin in summer.
Adopt these changes gradually, one at a time, since too much change is difficult for the body to handle. Be patient because positive results may take time, but will last a lifetime.
